What is IIROC and CIPF?
-
IIROC Licensed Brokerage Solutions
As a fully licensed IIROC registered securities office, Agrawal Associates can offer thousands of domestic and international fixed income, equity and managed solutions listed anywhere in the world.
What is IIROC?
The Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada (IIROC) is a non-profit, national self-regulatory organization (SRO).
Established through the merger of the Investment Dealers Association (IDA) and Market Regulation Service (RS) on June 1, 2008, IIROC oversees all investment dealers and trading activity on debt (government & corporate bonds, mortgage backed securities, treasury bills, banker’s acceptance notes etc.) and equity (stock and derivative) markets in Canada.
The organization sets regulatory and investment industry standards and has quasi-judicial powers in that it holds enforcement hearings and has the power to suspend, fine and expel members and registered representatives.
What is CIPF?
Agrawal Associates is also a proud member of CIPF.
CIPF provides limited protection for property held by a member firm on behalf of an eligible client, if the member firm becomes insolvent. Member firms are investment dealers that are members of IIROC (Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada). These investment firms are also automatically members of CIPF.
-

We are happy to meet and advise on alternative financial service providers to those who may require such options.
